Their powers are rarely supernatural in the traditional sense but rely on accumulated experience, political influence, and mastery of clan disciplines. A mentor must be adept at reading mortal behavior, navigating Elysium etiquette, and suppressing their own Beast to set an example. They often possess high levels of Presence or Dominate to guide their charges. Defining moments for a mentor usually involve the first time they intervene to save their student from a hunter, the moment they teach the neonate their first successful hunt without witnesses, or the tragic decision to execute a former student who has broken the Masquerade.
